I just returned from my weekend in San Francisco where I attended my first (and it won’t be my last) BlogHer ’08. My fears of feeling old and out of touch quickly evaporated the minute I sat down to breakfast and began swapping cards with the other women at my table (thank you Amy for showing me it is much more fun to Kirtsy than to Digg). At that morning’s speed dating, I met foodies, greenies, mommies (lots and lots of mommies), twenty somethings, gen Xers, mid-lifers/boomers/elders (whatever they want to label us) & feminists who blog about politics, travel, fashion, recipes, body image, care giving, gender, hobbies, children, relationships, phobias, nutrition and aging. They are educating, informing, entertaining, connecting and coming out in force. It was announced at one of the morning sessions that 36 million women a week are blogging. Now that is something to ‘tweet’ about.
