The first thing I did when I finished reading this book was to look online to find a picture of a Chinese woman’s bound foot. Wonderful read!

This is a fascinating story about Chinese girls and they suffered to make their feet look like lotuses, which men thought considered beautiful.
Wonderful historical novel.
