I enjoyed reading this book and loved Wiggins use of language and thought process. She made me think differently about quite a few things. That said, I got bogged down in the middle of the book with a little too much description. I was fascinated with her fictional depiction of Edward Curtis’ life (early western photographer) and was a bit confused about the separate story of the modern character “Marianne Wiggins.” Was it fact or fiction? Maybe that is the whole point of the story…who is to say what is fact or what is fiction?
